Since earning his DDS from Virginia Commonwealth University, he has participated in more than 1400 hours of continuing education courses including finishing the continuum at the prestigious Spear institute in Scottsdale and the Preceptorship in Implantology at UTSA.
In addition to his impressive commitment to continuing education, Dr. Winegar is a distinguished member of the Academy of General Dentistry and has earned the prestigious status of diplomate in the International Academy of Dental Implantology, reflecting his exceptional proficiency in dental implants. Further demonstrating his commitment to professional development and excellence in dentistry, he has also qualified for fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologist. Complementing these notable accomplishments, Dr. Winegar has completed extensive training in Cosmetic Dentistry, including a rigorous program with the esteemed Spear Institute.
These prestigious achievements further solidifies Dr. Winegar as a specialist in the field of oral implantology. All with the goal of ensuring his patients are treated with the latest, most efficient technologies and techniques available in dentistry today.
A Salt Lake City, Utah native, Dr. Winegar completed his undergraduate work at the University of Utah, graduating in Medical Biology. He is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and prior to attending dental school, lived in Africa for two years doing humanitarian work for his church.
Dr. Winegar enjoys spending time with family, including wife Kristin and their son Jack. He is an avid college football fan and also loves tennis, cycling, waterskiing, and other outdoor sports. He is also an Instrument Rated Pilot as well as a glider Pilot.
I grew up in a small central Texas town called Hillsboro. I received my undergraduate degree in Biology from Texas Tech University, and received my dental degree from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, where I was blessed to meet my husband Jacob. I am a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, but most of all, I love the opportunity to get to know each and every patient and help them achieve their dental goals.
In my time outside of work, I love to travel, play tennis, spend time outdoors with our Great Dane, Luna and of course our new baby girl Bonnie. Most of all, I cherish every moment with my family.
Kim was born and raised in Temple, Texas and loves the challenge of offering the very best dentistry to patients. “I enjoy the new technology and learning new ways,” she says, “and Dr. Winegar is up on the very latest techniques.” Kim and her husband Mike stay busy with two sons, Mason (18) and Marshall (14). They are bigtime Texas A&M fans and love high school football. Kim also loves shopping and going to the beach.
Kristina was born and raised in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. The Military brought her and her family to the Lonestar state. Her and her husband (Koty) have a sweet 5 year old boy named Weston. When Kristina is not at City Creek, she enjoys working on creative military crafts and going on Texas adventures with her family. They have 2 fur babies, Bandit and Ginger. They are Saint Bernard-Collie mixed and full of energy and fun. In the office, Kristina LOVES to talk and get to know her patients. She is eager to work with everyone who walks through the door!
